PRO NIXIE TUBE SOCKET DEDICATED FOR RZ568M.

Everyone knows the RZ568M nixie tubes. These tubes deserve special treatment, which is why a socket dedicated just for them was created. The project is based on documentation provided by Dalibor Farny.

The socket is easy to use – see examples in the description below. It allows you to control the brightness of the tube, sockets can be connected in series. The high-quality socket pins used ensure a solid connection between the socket and the tube.

The use of additional cathode resistors slightly reduces the effect of cathode poisoning by equalizing the current of individual digits.

HOW TO USE.

Example how to connect PRO Nixie Socket to the Arduino.

  • Nixie tube requires 170V power supply
  • PRO Nixie Socket requires 3.3V – 5.5V power supply
  • Only 4 Arduino digital outputs are required for control
  • The sockets can be connected in series

CODING.

The sample program code has been prepared to show that the control is very simple and basic knowledge of the Arduino is enough.
