*Project retired, a new version will be available soon.
FEATURES & COMPONENTS.
- Compatible with Arduino UNO
- Replaceable nixie tubes depending on the configuration
- RTC real time clock DS3231 module on board
- Nixie power supply module 170V (fully assembled) included
- Designed to work with DHT22/DHT11 temperature & humidity sensor
- The Shield is assembled (all SMD components)
- Connectors, pin headers and nixie tubes sockets require soldering
- Housing dimensions: 60 x 80 x 158 mm (~2.4″ x 3.1″ x 6.2″)
- External power supply required (Arduino Vin connector): 12V; 1A DC; plug diameter 2.5 x 5.5 mm; center pin positive+
CODING.
Code is very simple and uses only two Arduino libraries: for real time clock DS3231 and second for temperature and humidity sensor DHT22. Nixie tubes are controlled by HV5812 high voltage drivers by using only 3 arduino pins. You can modify the code according to your own ideas.
EASY TO OPERATE.
Just follow the instructions:
- Connect your Arduino Uno to the Shield
- Download example code
- Connect Shield via USB with your computer
- Connect 12V power supply
- Compile and upload code to the Arduino
- Unplug USB and it’s ready.
REPLACEABLE TUBES.
Three device options are possible:
- Nixie Clock – 4 x IN-12B Nixie Tubes
- Fahrenheit – Nixie Thermometer/Hygrometer – 3 x IN-12B + IN-15B
- Cesius – Nixie Thermometer/Hygrometer – 3 x IN-12B + IN-15A
